Daniel Reichard did not grow up with dogs. He had a lot of siblings, and his parents did not allow them to have dogs, so he was not really sure how to relate to one. However, Daniel and his boyfriend, Patrick, decided to get a dog.
Daniel and Patrick adopted Boscoe when he was a puppy. He looked so cute and chubby, like a baby pig. In a matter of days, Daniel got over his uncertainties, and he realized how precious, innocent, and sweet baby Boscoe was. Daniel loved everything about him.
Boscoe was very showy with his emotions. He could be needy one time, then elusive the next. He could be playful, relaxed, or sleepy. He loved snacks, and Daniel liked to give him watermelon.
Boscoe was a New York City dog through and through. He’s like a celebrity in West Village, their neighborhood in New York City. People would stop and pet him whenever he walked outside. He enjoyed the attention, but he did not show it.
Daniel was an actor and a singer, and he had been in the show business for 20 years. He did Broadway shows and off-Broadway shows. Daniel had been a part of the cast in the show Jersey Boys. When he was on the road with his group, the Midtown Men, he would bring out Boscoe on the stage during the show.
When Boscoe was about three years old, Daniel brought him out on the stage for the first time during a Christmas show. Boscoe looked so adorable in his red sweater. The audience adored him.
Boscoe was almost always present in Patrick’s social media account. Through Instagram, he would share with his family, friends, and fans about their life together.
Daniel was very grateful for having Boscoe in his life. Boscoe helped get him in a position where he could take breaths, center himself, and get stabilized. He did not have any idea that Boscoe would change his views about dogs and that he was capable of so much love for them.
