Usually, when you are looking to adopt a dog, you get to choose the pooch, but recently, the opposite happened in Argentina. A German flight attendant, Olivia Sievers, who often travels to Argentina for work, was chosen as an owner by a stray canine.
Olivia was lodging at a hotel in Argentina, and just outside the hotel, she came across a stray dog. Olivia showed the dog some affection, petted the canine, gave him some food, and went back inside the hotel. The dog liked Olivia’s attention so much that he started living in front of the hotel entrance.
When Olivia noticed the dog outside the hotel, she named him Rubio and also placed a blanket on the pooch during the night to keep him warm. Olivia left for Germany the next morning.
On her next visit to Buenos Aires, Olivia was amazed to see Rubio still sitting in front of the hotel waiting for her. Olivia never thought that she would see Rubio again, but there he was sitting near the hotel entrance. It would have certainly been a bit weird if a person was doing this, but with the canine, Olivia found it to be charming.
The hotel manager had started taking care of the dog, but the pooch needed a home. Later, a rescue group took the dog to their facility, but that was not where Rubio wanted to be. The pooch escaped the facility and found his way back to the hotel. It seemed that the dog was only willing to accept Olivia as his owner.
Olivia could not ignore the dog anymore and decided to take Rubio home. She filled all the required paperwork and also got the pooch checked by a vet. Olivia then went back to Germany, but she made arrangements for the pooch’s transportation.
Finally, Rubio reached Germany, and this time around, it was Olivia who was waiting for him.
