Brady, a volunteer rescuer with the charitable group K9 Advocates Manitoba, was browsing the internet when he saw an online post that talked about some unwanted puppies. The person who made the post wanted the puppies gone right away, so he rushed to the address provided to save the little ones. He didn’t mind driving in the snow because he knew it would be worth his time and effort.
When he arrived at the property, Brady was immediately greeted by two puppies. Even the momma dog was so happy to meet him. She didn’t leave his side and he knew he had to take her, too.
Brady was set to leave with the furry family but then, he recalled there were more than two puppies on the online post. So, he searched everywhere and found the rest of the litter at the back end of the land.
It was pretty easy for the rescuer to bring two more of the puppies to safety. But he had a really tough time catching the last one. It was so scared and smart to get captured, and it ran fast and hid in the tightest spot.
About 20 minutes later, Brady finally secured the last puppy. He carried and secured the furry family at the back of his car, except for the last puppy that he saved. He was smitten with it so he let it sleep on his lap while he drove to the rescue center.
For the very first time in their entire lives, the dogs slept peacefully. They were comfortable and they knew they were free from all forms of harm. They seemed to understand that better days were ahead of them.
All 5 puppies and their mom continued to their foster families right away. They received nothing but the best care and it didn’t take very long before they were all ready to start fresh. And one by one, they left and continued to their forever homes.
Brady wished to save the lives of the puppies that day. He didn’t expect that he’d also make a change in the momma dog’s life. He was happy he saved an entire family.
