We all love our pets dearly. We want them to be happy and live a happy dog life for as long as they are with us. And we all have different ways of showing that love. For Twitter user @iMDRW and her daughter Kennedi, showing their love for their two Yorkshire terriers is building a luxury home for each of them.
Last April. @iMDRW shared an update about her daughter redecorating her upstairs game room/bonus room. The sneak peek featured the two adorable puppies, named Ginger and Fergie, standing guard at the top of the stairs. She posted regular updates on her daughter’s quarantine project, and everybody in the replies waited happily for the latest news.
Diane, as she said she call herself, thought that they should add a window seat. Next thing they knew, they were building a window seat with storage and added two walk-in doggy houses – one side for Ginger and the other side for Fergie. With the two women busy at work, the terriers would often visit to offer them support and some love.
Diane and Kennedi started with the frames and then painted the walls inside before adding the walls for the window seat and doggy houses. They then added the flooring – it was linoleum for easy cleaning. Everything was built from scratch. They even added little paintings for the interiors of Fergie’s and Ginger’s “condo,” as Diane calls it.
After 15 days, Diane posted an update that the project is complete, and they just needed to make seat covers for the window seat. Kennedi also built couches for the terriers using woods reclaimed from an old desk. Not only did the terriers look like they were enjoying staying in their rooms, but Kennedi’s cats are also often visiting.
People replying to Diane’s twitter threads about the project also loved the makeover and all the details of the luxurious dog condos. Both tiny rooms have little windows where the cats loved trying to get a peek. The top of the houses can also be lifted for easy cleaning. Everything is just perfect!
Thank you to Twitter user @iMDRW for sharing this cute story with us!
