Dogs may not know how to verbally communicate their thoughts. But they can be certainly trained to give useful cues. And when you train them well, communicating with them will definitely be much easier.
A dog named Daisy alerted her fur mom that a family of bears has been having their fun time in the backyard. But how did Daisy manage to do that? By ringing a bell!
Here’s smart Daisy’s story.
Mom, there are bears in the yard!
A woman named Tiffany Kress had trained Daisy to ring a small bell to call her attention. The smart trick became helpful when Daisy made her mom go to the back door. There, Tiffany saw that what captured Daisy’s attention – a family of bears!
Luckily, Tiffany saw the bears before she let Daisy out into the backyard. The bears were actually having fun in the swimming pool. Tiffany managed to take a video of her pup ringing the bell while staring out at the family of bears.
Eventually, the bears made their way out of the swimming pool without causing any damage. Later that day, Tiffany let Daisy out into the yard with her supervision, of course.
What the netizens are saying
Tiffany shared the video with a social news agency called Storyful. It was even picked up by KTVU FOX 2 San Francisco. On the said network’s YouTube channel, the video had more than 43K likes and 525 likes. A lot of the comments were positive.

A third commenter found it nice that Tiffany didn’t freak out when she saw the bears and that she just let them leave after their dip in the pool.
