A woman named Anna was looking for a puppy to adopt when she came across an online post about puppies that needed a home. She inquired about the pups, and it turned out that there was only one left that had not been adopted yet.
Anna visited the dog owner to meet the last puppy, and to her surprise, the remaining dog had short spine syndrome. The pup would be euthanized if they could not find a family willing to take her, so Anna decided to save the pup’s life by adopting it.
Anna recalled that her newly-adopted puppy, Tilly, was affectionate when she was first brought home. The following morning, she went to the vet to have Tilly examined when she was told that Tilly’s spine would not grow with her and that she would not live that long.
Anna admitted how heartbroken she was when the doctors told her that Tilly would only live for three to five months. Fortunately, Tilly managed to beat all odds because she is still alive up to this day.
Anna shared that Tilly goes to the vet a couple of times a year to ensure that she is in perfect health. The doctors even withdrew their statement and reassured her that Tilly would live a long and healthy life because she is a fighter.
Tilly grew so attached to Anna that she would follow her human mom wherever she went. Tilly enjoyed coming up to Anna in the middle of the night, put her head on the pillow, and laying down with her back on her human mom’s arms because she wanted to be near her every chance she gets.
Anna said that Tilly wants attention at all times and would not settle for anything less. She shared how thankful she was for having Tilly because her dog brings so much love and energy into her life.
