This Adorable Pug Who Hates To Bathe Holds His Mom’s Hand When She’s Bathing

This Adorable Pug Who Hates To Bathe Holds His Mom’s Hand When She’s Bathing

Consider yourself lucky if you’re a fur parent and your dogs don’t give you a hard time when it’s their time to shower. For some dogs, bath time is just an average and basic routine. However, it’s the worst time of the day for other dogs.

You don’t know how many disasters some dog owners go through to get their dogs to bathe! Some dogs despise water; they flee at the sound of it running from the faucet! They don’t take a bath without having their owners run after them.

This bating issue is what Raphi Munoz must go through every time she bathes, Diego. Diego is a cute little black pug who hates showering. It’s just not his cup of tea. He isn’t ashamed to show that he doesn’t like to bathe; he displays his hate for it by crying and screaming, according to Raphi.

However, there’s more to Diego than meets the eye. He isn’t disobedient and undisciplined; he has difficulty dealing with all the water and shampoos. In reality, he is a sweet and thoughtful boy. He would even offer Raphi his paw to show support whenever she would take a bath.

Maybe Diego’s experiences with baths inspired him to do this. Although, one thing is for sure: he still feels protective of his parent.

Raphi’s heart would always melt at Diego’s sweet gesture. She could see how Diego willingly, though scared, faced his fears to comfort her. One day, she had an idea to take a video of how Diego would offer her his cute paw. She also uploaded it on TikTok, and the video quickly became viral. More than 2.6 million TikTok users have watched it!

A lot of people were touched and amused by Diego. While others left funny comments, others said he should be a service dog. Coincidentally, he was close to being one!

Raphi took to Instagram to share how she wanted Diego to become a psychiatric service dog. She let him go through various training sessions to prepare him for his job. However, she realized he was too outspoken to be a service dog.

In the end, Raphi stops Diego’s training, but he is doing more than enough by protecting her. She said her PTSD doesn’t get so bad because of him, and she is more than grateful. She trusts her dog to protect her from all the frightening baths she’ll have to take in the future.
