One of the most favorite dog breeds on the planet is the German Shepherd and that’s because of the breed’s intelligence and energy. Many people have them as pets because they see them as the ideal dog to have in their homes.
These dogs are intelligent, happy, sensitive, and adaptive to their environment, which makes them good working dogs. With the right training, they are capable of performing any task. Assisting people with disabilities, herding a flock of sheep, and police services such as narcotics detection are examples of these tasks.
Before they become dependable companions for daily activities, they usually are hyperactive and overly energetic dogs. A Facebook video showed how mischievous and active German Shepherd pups are. The good news is that, the mother of the pups in the video is quite intelligent and devised a way to calm her children by outplaying them in their own game.
The game was easy and consisted solely of running around and chasing after each other. The mother dog began running slowly around her boisterous puppies to encourage them to pursue her. Then, her puppies began rushing and pursuing her across the field with all their might.
Their mother took advantage of her size and made large leaps so that her puppies would use up more effort and energy during their game of chase. This not only exhausted them to the bone, but also taught them how to play and enjoy themselves as a group. They also enjoyed the entire activity and it was a win-win situation.
As the game progressed, the puppies’ mother was able to wear them out. Their depleted energy rendered them incapable of playing any more games. The exhausted puppies then accompanied their mother back to their home to rest. What a clever maneuver by their mother!
