Trimming your dog’s nails could be challenging, especially during the community quarantine wrought by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. But in time for the lockdown, many dog lovers have devised creative ways to trim their dogs’ nails or groom their hair.
Greg Lee is no stranger to this narrative after he was able to get his dog’s attention. Greg is a fur daddy to a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Jax. As we all know, this dog breed could go rowdy anytime they want, especially when it is time to get rid of long nails. Just like any other owner of this dog breed, Greg likewise faces the same dilemma.
However, Greg was able to outsmart his pooch by using his bald hair as a distraction. Greg explained that Rhodesian Ridgeback’s nails grow faster than usual. This means Greg has to trim the nails of his pooch at least every other week.
Now that there is a community lockdown, it becomes extra tricky because Greg could not visit an animal parlor since most of the shops have ceased operations. This is why he had to do it himself or get the fear of having scratches due to the dog’s long nails.
When he attempted to trim the dog’s nails, Jax began to show resistance. The dog seemed oblivious that he does not want his fingernails to get cut. Greg, however, knew better. This is because he used his bald hair to distract the pooch while he was trimming the latter’s nails.
What Greg did was to put a can of Cheez Whiz on his head because it was one of the dog’s favorite food. It was Greg who had the last laugh because he was able to finish trimming the dog’s nails right before the dog finished eating the Cheez Whiz.
