The elderly couple Larry and Sharon Robinsons never expected their trip to Boston to be cut short due to a regrettable event. They received a call that their Shetland Sheepdog named Tipsy had gone missing from their home. Without second thoughts, the couple returned home as soon as they could.
The moment they arrived at their residence in Stockton, California, they exhausted all the necessary efforts to find their missing pooch: posting fliers with Tipsy’s picture,
asking the neighbors for every single piece of information that could lead to Tipsy’s whereabouts, and checking out every lost-and-found animal website within the vicinity.
Mrs. Robinsons said that they did everything they could to find their pet. It even came to a point where she got sick because of the search.
Tipsy has been a very significant member of the couple’s lives. They raised her for over eight and a half years. As retirees, they could not afford to lose their fur baby just like this.
After over a month of searching, the Valley Humane Society contacted the Robinsons. They told them that they fostered Tipsy for a while after saving her from the Stockton Animal Shelter. However, since the 10-day stray hold expired and the dog had no identification, they decided to put her up for adoption.
The Robinsons regretted not having Sheltie microchipped and not wearing her collar when she went missing. If only the organization could trace Tipsy’s owners, the dog would’ve been returned sooner.
Thankfully, the new owners decided to return Tipsy, although they refused to return her. The elderlies were very happy about it, and at last, their charming pooch was finally back home.
