Most dog owners know the struggles of giving their fur babies a bath all too well. Just hearing the word “bath” often makes pooches go wild or go missing. From having to drag them to the bathroom to keeping them from rolling on grass right after their bath, it is no wonder fur parents dread bath time as much as their babies do.
But while there are dogs who hate baths with every fiber of their being, there are also those who enjoy the feeling of getting pampered by their paw-rents. From having fun while playing in the water to enjoying the air from the blow dryer, these pooches make bath time super fun for their fur parents.
And, if dog owners think that having a dog who doesn’t throw a fit every time they hear the word bath is fun, then they’ll definitely love this story. It’s about a Great Dane who does more than just behave while his fur dad bathes him.
Unusually ready for bath
For a dog that can easily overpower a human like his owner, Basil is sweet and gentle. He obeys his paw dad and does everything he is told. Despite being energetic and quick, Basil does not give his fur dad a hard time getting him to do things like taking a bath.
In fact, Basil does something that dogs don’t normally do when they hear the word “bath.” Instead of running around or throwing a fit, Basil calmly proceeds to the restroom and hops inside the bathtub. Once there, he patiently waits for his fur dad to remove his collar and give him a bath.
Making other paw-rents envious
In a video posted online in September of 2015, Basil’s reaction to his fur dad saying “bath time” was shown. The video made rounds online and made a lot of paw-rents envious of the Great Dane’s human. See why in the video below:
