Parents feel that reading bedtime stories to their kids helps improve the young ones’ cognitive abilities. This is the reason why parents constantly read bedtime stories to their children. These stories produce vivid pictures in children’s minds, thus enhancing their capacity for critical thought. However, what we should really realize is that just like children, dogs also enjoy bedtime stories.
This dog is named Sting and he is one of the many pets who enjoy hearing bedtime stories. However, unlike children, Sting the greyhound also wants to be a part of the story.
White Bear Lake, Minnesota’s Ramsey County Library hired Sting because he enjoys being read stories to. The dog’s principal duty is to help young students overcome their fear of reading aloud in front of the class.
While Sting enjoys hearing stories, he was obviously disappointed when no one signed up to read for him at the library. John Muellner, the dog’s handler, realized he must do something to cheer up Sting. Instead of waiting for the children to arrive, John became the dog’s student that day.
John read some stories aloud to Sting, and the dog adored every single one. According to John, he does not wish for his dog to be unhappy and that is why he did what was necessary so that his dog would not feel sad and left out.
John captured the events of the day and posted them on his Facebook account. He had no idea that his post would generate a lively discussion online.
Eventually, his post became viral. As a result, numerous individuals contacted him and scheduled a reading session with Sting. Despite his initial shock, John viewed it as a blessing in disguise.
John prepped the dog for the big day, as many children had signed up for Sting’s reading session.
