Delivery drivers have become an indispensable part of daily life during this pandemic. With outside movement being restricted to prevent possible widespread infection, most of us have realized the importance of human contact. To fight against the effect of isolation, many have turned to online shopping for direct access to their favorite food, gadgets, and other trinkets.
Thus, delivery drivers were now our new best friends! Because of their hard work, we found satisfaction in accomplishing our material wish lists, a temporary fix against the rising cabin fever. Some have even developed friendships and were on a first-name basis with their local delivery drivers.
On the other hand, a so-called canine adoption boom arose, mainly as another survival response brought by the pandemic. Dogs were well-known for aiding our mental health, helping us to focus and function normally despite the lack of social interaction. They served as our emotional support as we gradually adjusted to lifestyle changes brought by the current situation.
A particular Facebook group combined these in a wholesome and heartwarming display of affection. UPS drivers came up with this page to share the remarkable dogs they met while doing their delivery routes. Everyone who saw it online agreed how adorable the photos indeed were.
This social media account was created in 2013 and has grown quite a following since then. Their posts helped keep positive vibes circulating online as a deterrent to the uncertainties we continue to face. A backstory was also attached to each photo, keeping their followers invested as they pored over the shared content.
Although these drivers also encountered some aggressive pups along the way, they still made an effort to take photos of the doggos who were friendly and certified cuddle buddies. The page’s description indicated that their true intention was to show how dogs and mail carriers can be best friends.
